THINKING OF SELLING OR BUYING ?

We thought it might be helpful to set out the reasons for using the services of an agent such as ourselves and to address the reasons, which sometimes puts off businesses using an agent.

Reasons for using OUR services.

1. Maximising the value to you - Sales or Purchases

Our aim is the achieve the best value price  for you (sales or purchases). Our objective is to attract sufficient interest to generate a number of offers. This can involve offers going to the stage of final pricings or bids resulting in substantially more value adding than the initial negotiations.

After all the long hours and years of work which you have put into the business you deserve to sell your products for the top price ( or if you are purchasing, get the best value products possible). Therefore it does not make sense to just accept an offer from just anyone. If they know your business products are not being marketed properly do you think they are going to offer you the going rate?

Do you have negotiating skills or the willpower to maximise the price when buying or creating a value adding purchased product ? Typically you may have been approached by a local business offering to sell products (or purchase products), how are you going to negotiate the best price ?  When selling, you ask for more, your purchaser knowing that you are trying to sell the products yourself and have little experience in this will argue that his price is fair and that the sale can be conducted quickly, etc, etc.  Alternatively, when purchasing, the business selling to you, will argue that this is the best price you will be able to get in the market at the moment and that they are selling very quickly. Where do you go from there ? Some businesses just give in and accept a price, which is not the best price achievable for YOUR business.

We also help first time buyers and sellers to calculate what they can afford to buy or sell and where appropriate recommend them to banks and pharmaceutical backers.

Our team handles the administration such as arranging viewings of products (and services), information packs for purchasers and liaising with other professionals (if appropriate) once the sale has been agreed.

4. Flexibility

Our aim is to provide a service specifically tailored to your requirement. For example, we are happy to enter into short term sales ( and purchase) agreements with you if you prefer this giving us just a specified time period to achieve results. Whereas you will find other agents stipulate specific 'terms'.

5. Seeing the Sale (or purchase) through to completion

Once a sale (or purchase) has been agreed we are constantly in touch with each parties representative and other advisors ensuring a smooth and efficient completion to the sale (or purchase). Our aim is to minimise the time, which is spent on this and to ensure that your stress levels are kept to a minimum.

6. Minimising your liability

If you are unsure of the best way to structure your sale (or purchase) to avoid problems we can also help you through this. This is an additional service which many sellers (or purchasers) find very helpful. We can work with your team to deal with the necessary expertise in any complicated areas.

7. What makes some businesses reluctant to use an agent?

Ultimately it is CONFIDENTIALITY.

We know that most businesses worry that everyone will find out about their business and using agents will increase this risk. We understand how important this concern is to you and we take great care to safeguard your privacy by:

7.1. Vetting the purchasers as explained above and explaining to them how important it is to treat any information they receive confidentially.

7.2. Arranging viewings at your convenience outside business hours (if appropriate).

7.3. Contacting you on your contact numbers which you are happy to give us. If you ask us to contact you, we are totally discreet. We are happy to contact you outside business hours if you prefer.

7.4. Discussing the marketing of the business products (and services) with you and we will only do what you are completely comfortable with. For example many businesses, which sell products are never advertised. In some cases, we are requested we only contact a few carefully selected purchasers.

8. Fees

If you sell (or purchase) products and services yourself you will save the agents commission. Is this really a saving ?

We think not because we are confident that we can negotiate a better price than you would achieve on your own which would far exceed the commission cost. In addition we only get paid on the actual sale (or purchase) of the product or service so there is no risk to you.
